New match being positioned for Main Event of Wrestlemania

Regarding recent WWE creative, huge plans are apparently in motion to see current Intercontinental champion Seth Rollins face off against the Universal Champion Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 35.

Seth Rollins is currently involved in a feud with former friend and tag team partner Dean Ambrose, with a match set for WWE Tables, Ladders and Chairs for the Intercontinental Championship and Dave Meltzer is reporting that Rollins may drop the IC title to Ambrose before going on to challenge for the Universal Championship.

Seth Rollins and Brock Lesnar have faced off against each other before, a triple threat match at the Royal Rumble 2015 for the WWE Championship, two months later Rollins cashed in Money In The Bank contract during a WWE Title match between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar, and the final match between Rollins and Lesnar took place also in 2015, when they faced each other one on one for the WWE Championship but the match was ended when the Undertaker interfered.

The limited schedule of Brock Lesnar would suggest that Seth Rollins is now in a position where he is likely to win the Royal Rumble for the first time in his career, as Brock is reportedly facing Braun Strowman at the Royal Rumble for the Universal Championship.

The Rollins vs Lesanr feud in some way is scheduled to play off the Roman Reigns leukaemia battle, and be a part of the storyline going forward.

Seth has previously discussed a match with Brock Lesnar, stating… “If it were up to me, it would be tomorrow, ya know? But you got to wait for those title shots, our champion currently Brock Lesnar is a force to be reckoned with, he is also somebody who chooses to defend his title and fight on his own time. So you got to be kind of lucky to land those title shots”.
