Gail Kim Added as Special Guest Ref for Homecoming

Gail Kim, IMPACT Hall of Famer and first ever Knockouts Champion has been named the Special Guest Ref for the Knockouts Championship Match at Homecoming. Tessa Blanchard vs. Taya Valkyrie Part III goes down in Nashville, TN LIVE from the Asylum. In their first encounter at Bound For Glory, Tessa used a ref mistake to earn the victory, in part 2 it was a blatant punch to the face of the official that resulted in a disqualification and Tessa retained her title.

This past Thursday night on IMPACT we learned of the added wrinkle.

Ultimate X Field Set for Homecoming

Eight men had the chance to qualify for Ultimate X when it returns to IMPACT Wrestling at Homecoming on January 6th in Nashville. Now, the field is set and we can’t wait to see how this match unfolds and who becomes the next X-Division Champion. Ultimate X is a thrilling structure and the X-Division Title will be held high above the ring and the first man to grab the title will leave Nashville as Champion.

Jake Crist
Jake Crist has been called one of the most underrated Stars on the IMPACT Roster. Jake can kick his way out of any situation, but seems so wrapped up in being Sami Callihan that he is often overlooked. Will Crist be overlooked after Homecoming? Jake has a great chance at leaving Homecoming as an all new man. A Champion in IMPACT. Jake is a former World Tag Team Champion and now has a chance to add to his resume.

Ethan Page
Page was able to defeat his mentor Matt Sydal in a match to earn this place at Homecoming and now Page is one step closer to earning his first Championship in IMPACT Wrestling. Page may be the underdog in this match and has a chance to sneak a victory away from his opponents.

Rich Swann
Swann might be the favorite to win the X-Division Title at Homecoming. Dynamic and outstanding, Swann can flat out fly. Can All Night Swann leave Nashville with Championship gold? Rich has all the tools it takes to succeed and now he is in the match, his dance card has been punched. We can’t wait to see what happens in Ultimate X.

Trey
Trey is one third of the Rascalz and defeated Trevor Lee and impressed the world with this victory. Trey can go and while he is young, Trey will not be overwhelmed by this opportunity. Will the Rascalz be celebrating in Nashville after Homecoming?

One thing is for sure, we are promised a new Champion and we are promised a first time X-Division Champion as well. Find out who leaves as X-Division Champion at Homecoming LIVE on Pay Per View on Sunday, January 6th from the Asylum.

Falls Count Anywhere in Nashville at Homecoming

For rivals Moose and Eddie Edwards the ring isn’t big enough to settle their score. The city of Nashville isn’t big enough and Officials have already decided that this battle will be Falls Count Anywhere at Homecoming. Which means they can fight all over the Asylum, they can fight all over Nashville and they can battle as far as Nissan Stadium where the local Tennessee Titans play! Basically, anything goes.

Eddie has escaped Shady Acres and now the battle is on and heading straight to Music City. How will this rivalry end? Who will emerge victories? It seems that Moose and Eddie have been battling for months! Once they were best friends, inseparable on the road and at home and now they can’t stand the site of each other.

Raven gave Eddie some words of wisdom, Tommy Dreamer has spoken to both men and this hatred has a very familiar feeling to that of Raven and Dreamer years ago in ECW. Eddie is fueled by hatred and a desire to be the best and Moose wants everyone to know he can beat Eddie at any time.

So what will happen in Nashville? We continue to ask how this rivalry will end? Will each man go their separate ways leaving the other to pursue their goals in IMPACT Wrestling? Only time will tell, but Eddie is not normal and Moose loves to play mind games and jokes on his foes. We have a feeling that Moose and Eddie Edwards will be looking to rip each other apart for years and years to come. Homecoming will be one chapter in this rivalry that we can’t wait to see how it is written.

Homecoming goes down LIVE on Pay Per View, Sunday, January 6th from the Asylum in Nashville, TN.
